Aaron Vickers2016 Draft Center

With the 17th overall selection in the National Hockey League Draft, Future Considerations selects…

…Jamie Oleksiak.

Just one season removed from being selected 14th overall by the Dallas Stars, Oleksiak was already causing headaches for opposing forwards in the NHL. The 6-foot-7, 240-pound defenseman played 16 games with the Stars in his first professional season, recording two points.

Oleksiak spent the majority of his season with the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League, recording six goals and 33 points in a successful 59 game campaign.
