Rankings Rewind: FC’s 11th overalls

Aaron Vickers2016 Draft Center

With the 11th overall selection in the National Hockey League Draft, Future Considerations selects…

Jeff Skinner.

The 21-year-old was plucked seventh overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2010 and despite being on the smaller side, made his NHL debut four months later. It was a successful rookie season for the Kitchener Rangers standout, who scored 31 goals and added 32 points in 82 games — numbers good enough to earn him the Calder Memorial Trophy at age 19.

Only first overall pick Taylor Hall has outscored Skinner from the 2010 NHL Entry Draft class. In all, Skinner has 64 goals and 131 points in 188 career NHL games.
