The New York Rangers selected US NTDP forward J.T. Miller with the 15th pick of the first round at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Miller, a strong skating two-way power forward, has a nice blend of offensive talent and physical force. He can score by utilizing his quick shot or can also play the role of playmaker, setting up his teammates.

Some have questioned the top-end potential of Miller, who has left spectators wondering how he will develop. While he recorded 37 points in 48 games, Miller’s talent level suggests he has even more offensive upside in his future.

Where Miller shined this season was at the World Under-18 in Germany, helping Team USA to its third consecutive gold medal.
