An upper-body injury has forced Brandon Wheat Kings defenseman Ryan Pulock out of the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.
Pulock, seventh in Future Considerations’ December ranking for the 2013 NHL Draft, suffered a chipped bone in his wrist in Tuesday’s 7-2 loss to the Calgary Hitmen and is expected to miss the next two weeks. The CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game takes place Wednesday, January 16th.
“Just another speed bump to overcome, and its only going to make me stronger!” Pulock tweeted.
In 37 games this season, the six-foot-one, 200-pound blueliner has 10 goals and 31 points.
Pulock will be replaced by Jordan Subban of the Belleville Bulls. Subban, the fifth overall pick in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection, has seven goals and 20 assists in 39 games this season.
