A big, powerful two-way player…skating is above-average as he picks up a lot of speed coming down the ice…offensively is effective off the rush, driving the middle lane and opening space as he ends up at net-front…seems to end every shift around the crease causing havoc for opposing defenders…reads the play very well and adapts quickly and effectively…is highly competitive and physical…is extremely hard to battle with on the walls…gets creative with the puck off the rush…picks up his check, helps out down low and in front of the net, and commits to the defensive side of the game…displays good awareness on the backcheck, looking for missed assignments and grabbing them as needed has great strength, comes back hard on defense and works in his own end to support the D and make effective defensive plays…has potential to be a good bottom-six forward at the pro level.  (November 2016)
