The pint-sized defender is pure offense from the backend. He skates like the wind and can rev it up on a dime. He has a quickness about him that keeps defenders on their heels. He has loads of flash with end-to-end rushes in almost very game. Despite being very small, Ness has no fear of playing physical and has often initiated contact. Blessed with outstanding vision he reads the ice well and not only controls the game but rushes the puck almost at will against his competition. He sets up teammates well and often takes so much attention that his line mates are left with “gimme” goals. Ness is also well conditioned and can play loads of minutes.
