A very slippery and highly skilled two-way forward…has great hands and a nice arsenal of dekes and puckhandling moves…an explosive skater although not blessed with top end speed…he plays with a drive and determination on the ice…solid in his own zone as well as defensively aware in the offensive zone as well…a smart player…has a good shot with quick release…sees the ice well…incorporates a physical game and hits harder than his average size would suggest. The skill set is not in question. The potential for bust is in his do-it-himself attitude…dominant playmaking skills…drives into the high traffic areas and gets his nose dirty. Needs to utilize his linemates better as he too often tries to do things on his own especially when he gets frustrated…plays with a bit of a spoiled attitude at times…physical style may leave him injury prone at the pro level…consistent effort level as is the case with most young athletes is needed.
