Wahl is a fast skater with impressive balance who is elusive with or without the puck and employs a high tempo game. The natural playmaker possesses great vision and uncanny ability to thread the needle with a tape-to- tape pass even through heavy traffic. He has good soft hands and can carry the puck through traffic. He plays well along the wall and has a good stick in those situations. Wahl has a good team first attitude, is a hard worker and is very coachable. He finishes his checks and also shows some quiet leadership qualities.
