Jacob DeSerres

Aaron Vickers

DeSerres was a late riser this season that has shown loads of promise. The primarily butterfly style keeper who also has some stand-up attributes took playing time away from former first round pick Riku Helenius this year. He has quick pads, lighting fast mobility and solid angle play. He uses his big body to cover the net, has good reflexes and also looks to have good instincts. DeSerres’ technical skills need fine tuning as he floats out of position as well as showing a lack of focus some nights. His foot work can get him tied up but is not a regular occurrence. His rebound control and puck skills need work. (May 2008)
