O’Dell sprung onto the OHL seen and immediately produced while playing key second line minutes and being a staple on the PK for the remainder of the year. He has good hockey sense and instincts while playing a solid two- way game. He plays with loads of energy and has a real desire to compete every shift. Plays in the dirty areas, will drive the net and is always willing to battle. He has a good shot that he gets off quickly but with his soft hands and nice vision he is more of a natural playmaker than a goal scorer. He plays hard in the defensive end and takes pride in shutting down the opposition. (May 2008)
