David Miller

Aaron Vickers

Miller is smart winger who is a puck magnet, always seeming to be where the puck is going. He is a playmaker more so than finisher. He can get creative with the puck; Miller makes exceptional reads of the defense, and dishes the puck to his linemates in a creative fashion. The kid’s got an impressive set of hands, and has the ability to use them in tight to create space to keep possession while setting up a play. What Miller may lack in size, he makes up for with a high compete level, and offensive ability. He is a hard working competitor every time he’s on the ice. A high energy kid who is full of confidence. Not physically dominant due to his lack of size, but is often the first guy to step in against much larger opposition and stand up for his team. Good forecheck, forcing turnovers and getting right into the face of the opposition. Defensively, Miller helps out down low and is in solid position in the defensive zone. Reminds us of Derek Roy in the way he plays the game at a high speed, and has the ability to find his open teammates for opportunities. Likely makes sense for an NHL team to move him to the wing.
