Twitter’s had its say. Northeastern defenseman Jamie Oleksiak with not only be among the first 14 picks in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, but could slide into the top-10.

Slotted 17th in Future Considerations’ final ranking for the 2011 draft, Oleksiak has huge potential to sneak into the top-10. A blend of imposing size at six-foot-seven, 245-pounds and great skating ability, the Toronto, ON. native will be a tough prospect for a team looking to bolster their blueline depth on draft day to pass on, according to the Twitterverse.

“Under!” @JE_lannicello tweeted of Oleksiak, who had 12 points in 34 games this season.

Oleksiak has been a hot riser all season.

Unranked in Future Considerations’ preliminary ranking for the 2011 draft, the former USHL blueliner jumped to 47th in December and into the first round by March before settling in at 17.

Will Twitter be right?

Two weeks will tell.
