Armed with a number of high caliber prospects for the 2014 NHL Draft, Sweden named its camp roster for the 2014 World Under-18 Championship in Lappeenranta and Imatra, Finland from April 17-28.

Of the 13 draft prospects named to the camp, the most notable was Future Considerations’ fourth overall rated skater William Nylander.

Also named to the team are two skaters who currently find themselves inside Future Considerations’ Top 30 in Adrian Kempe and Anton Karlsson.

Kempe has been playing primarily in the SHL, Sweden’s top professional hockey league, and has amassed a respectable stat line for a 17-year-old with five goals and 11 points in 45 games. Karlsson on the other hand has played the majority of his season in the SuperElit, a junior Swedish league, and has produced at a healthy pace with 12 goals and 22 points in 28 games.

Six of the seven defenseman named are eligible for draft this year while all three goaltenders for Sweden will also be available in June’s draft.
