The Tampa Bay Lightning have parted with prospect Mitch Fadden.

The club placed the Florida Everblades forward on unconditional waivers Wednesday, the first step in terminating a contract.

The move was made just one day after Fadden was in Salmon Arm Provincial Court facing charges of impaired driving, failing to provide a breath sample, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and obstructing an officer.

Fadden registered 15 goals and 51 points in 35 games this season. He scored 136 goals and 318 points in 340 games with the Seattle Thunderbirds, Lethbridge Hurricanes and Tri-City Americans.

Fadden was originally drafted in the fourth round, 107th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
