Kostin sidelined indefinitely after shoulder surgery

The window for scouting 2017 NHL Draft eligible Klim Kostin just got smaller.

Kostin, 12th in Future Considerations’ Winter ranking, is sidelined indefinitely after undergoing shoulder surgery on Jan. 18.

Recovery times have been estimated at anywhere from three-to-six months.

The 17-year-old had no points in eight games with Dynamo Moskva of the KHL, and one goal in nine games with Dynamo Balashikha of the VHL.He had one goal and three points in three games representing Russia at the World Junior A Challenge before sustaining an injury.
