Mississauga Steelheads goaltender Spencer Martin has had his draft season derailed.

The Oakville, ON product suffered an undisclosed knee injury earlier in the week that may require surgery. Martin has a 1-1 record with a 1.45 goals-against average and .953 save percentage so far this year.

There is no set timetable for Martin’s return. The Steelheads picked up goaltender Clint Windsor from the Saginaw Spirit in exchange for a fifth-round pick to cover their goaltending situation.
