A flu will keep Medicine Hat Tigers captain Hunter Shinkaruk out of the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, according to the team’s Twitter account.

“Tigers forward @H_S_9 Hunter Shinkaruk will not participate in CHL Top Prospects game due to illness #WHL,” tweeted the team’s official account, following it up with another tweet saying Shinkaruk has a bout of the flu.

Shinkaruk is the fourth player named to the game that has had to withdraw. Ryan Pulock, William Carrier and Eric Comrie have all pulled from the event as well due to injury. Laurent Dauphin is expected to replace Shinkaruk at the event.

Ninth in Future Considerations’ December ranking for the 2013 NHL Draft, Shinkaruk has 25 goals and 55 points in 41 games this season.
