Fucale named FC Goaltender of the Month

Future Considerations announced today Zachary Fucale of the Halifax Mooseheads has been named draft eligible Goaltender of the Month for March.

The 17-year-old netminder closed out his 2012-13 regular season campaign winning all six games he started in March. During the month, Fucale recorded a 2.07 goals against average and .933 save percentage.

Fucale was near flawless in Halifax’s first round sweep of the Saint John Sea Dogs, allowing just four goals in the series and recording a .943 save percentage to close out the month.

For his effort, Fucale has been named Future Considerations’ draft eligible Goaltender of the Month for March.

Also considered for the award was Tristan Jarry of the Edmonton Oil Kings. Though he had only three starts in the month, the 17-year-old Delta, BC product was lights out with a 1.00 goals against average and .964 save percentage.
