Returning draft eligible forward Martin Frk of the Halifax Mooseheads will not be representing the Czech Republic at the 2012 World Junior Championship.

Instead, Frk has opted to return home for the Christmas break and will not rejoin Halifax until January. Frk is coming off a concussion suffered in the last game of the Mooseheads’ preseason and has played just seven games this season, scoring once.

Frk is regarded as a potential first round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
