Anthony DeAngelo is in hot water with the Ontario Hockey League.

The 2014 NHL Draft eligible Sarina Sting defenseman was suspended eight games by the OHL on Friday following an incident with a fellow teammate.

The league reviewed allegations against the 17-year-old after an altercation took place on Jan. 31st during a game against the Guelph Storm. The league’s disciplinary office deemed the player did indeed make an inappropriate comment against a teammate which was in violation of the league’s Harassment and Abuse/Diversity Policy.

The suspension is dated from – but not including – Sarnia’s game on January 31st.

The five-foot-11, 175-pound DeAngelo has 13 goals and 60 points in 43 games this season and is ranked inside the first round of Future Considerations’ February ranking for the 2014 NHL Draft, sitting 29th.
