Forward Brett Bulmer has been returned to the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League, the Minnesota Wild announced Monday.

Bulmer had three assists in nine games this season for the Wild. If he participated in his tenth game, the first year of his three year entry-level contract would kick in. The 19-year-old wasn’t eligible to play in the American Hockey League.

In 57 games last season for the Rockets, the Prince George, BC. native had 18 goals and 49 points along with 109 penalty minutes. He was originally selected in the second round, 39th overall of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Bullmer is eligible to represent Canada at the 2012 World Junior Championship. He wasn’t invited to the team’s summer development camp in Edmonton in August.
