Lane Bauer has touched down in Edmonton.

The Alaska Jr. Aces sniper and 2014 NHL Draft eligible had been committed to Alaska-Fairbanks but after attending training camp for the Edmonton Oil Kings, has decided to ply his trade in the Western Hockey League.

“Lane’s player on our list for a couple years, and we’re very happy that he decided to come to the Oil Kings,” General Manager Randy Hansch told the Oil Kings website. “Lane’s a honest, hard-working two-way player that can produce some offensive numbers and competes any time he’s on the ice.”

The Achorage, AK product, one of six signings made by the Oil Kings on Friday, took to Twitter to announce his signing.

“Proud to be an Oil King,” Bauer tweeted before Edmonton announced the signing.
